Lai-Lyn Fong
Lyn is an avid practitioner of all things creative – from events and conferences, to the design and delivery of projects within a consultancy, she adds a flair of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to enable the best outcomes to be generated.
She accredits this to her years spent at Central St. Martins College of Art Design, UK, from which she graduated with an MA in Innovation Management and her internship with the Design Against Crime Centre. She obtained her early education in Malaysia, graduating with a BA in Language and Linguistics, majoring in the English language from Malaysia’s top university, University Malaya.
She spent some time interning in Germany with the world’s largest and most popular German trade fair companies, namely, Deutsche Messe AG and Messe Duesseldorf GmbH.
Her experience led to her current affiliation with Messe Worldwide Sdn Bhd. Her ability to convince stakeholders like SingEx Exhibitions Pte Ltd, HMFS China, and various other exhibition organisers to consider Malaysia and the region as an alternative location to stage world class exhibitions made a force to be reckoned with in the events and exhibitions business in the region.
Her dedication has led to the successful staging of world-class events and helped her extend her reach to countries outside Malaysia such as Myanmar, Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore.
Some of her most recognizable clients include MATRADE, MITI, Top Glove, Supermax, MDEC, Vitrox, EDB Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, and ST Engineering, amongst others.
Lyn has also embarked on a speaking career, a natural progression from her role in presenting large exhibitions and events to the world. She has delivered talks; spoken on, as well as moderated, panel discussions and acted as a master of ceremonies at several events, covering a variety of topics.
